Tradition and visionsince 1994
History
What began in 1994 as a bold idea has developed into one of the world’s most renowned gourmet festivals. Today, the St. Moritz Gourmet Festival enjoys international cult status and has always stood for combining top-level cuisine with an alpine destination at the highest standard.
Over the past 30 years, around 80,000 gourmet enthusiasts have travelled to the Upper Engadine to be inspired by a total of around 200 international guest chefs from more than 30 nations.

The festival’s distinctive character emerges where world-class talents meet and collaboration matters more than competition. In St. Moritz, international star chefs meet with openness, curiosity and a shared ambition to create something extraordinary.

Hosts
Since its inception, the festival has been hosted by the partner hotels and event locations that form the St. Moritz Gourmet Festival association.
They serve as the hosts, the stage, and the defining backdrop for Gourmet Dinners as well as Official and Special Events.

Summer Edition
At the same time, the festival has never been a format that stands still. Since 1994, it has continued to evolve, with new perspectives, fresh ideas and a clear openness to change. This is precisely what the new motto “Every Moment has its own flavour” captures. It stands for the diversity of special moments, for sensory experiences, and for a festival that reveals its own distinctive character in every edition.

Fear of Missing Out
Anyone who knows the St. Moritz Gourmet Festival understands: when the programme and star chefs are announced, it becomes something special. And anyone who has not yet experienced it should not miss 2026. The upcoming Summer Edition promises big names, powerful encounters and moments of indulgence that bring the motto “Every Moment has its own flavour” to life in a very special way.

Young Engadine Talents
The St. Moritz Gourmet Festival thrives on excellence at every level, and that includes looking to the next generation. With Young Engadine Talents, the festival honours young culinary talents from the Upper Engadine who impress with exceptional skill even shortly before graduating.
